Solomon Commercials are no strangers to innovation and new ideas, and have continued to show their abilities to develop bespoke designs with the build of a unique vehicle incorporating solar panels.

Carrosseriefabriek Harderwijk (CarHar), based in Holland, approached Solomon’s to work on this bespoke build, and the two companies worked together to achieve an end result which was displayed at the RAI Show in October.

The application of specifically designed Solar Panels allow CarHar to provide a fridge vehicle with reduced emissions and increased efficiency. The Solar Panels were applied to the roof of the Solomon body, and are used to provide charge to the battery pack for an electric fridge unit.

The project required large amounts of information and knowledge transfer, and the design and manufacture of bespoke parts to meet the customer requirements. The end product is not only visually striking but demonstrates this exciting new technology.
