Advanced Refrigeration Technology
At the heart of each vehicle is a Thermo King TX1300X refrigeration unit. This independent diesel-powered system, complete with three-phase electric standby, ensures consistent temperature control across all operating conditions. The refrigerated trucks are equipped with dual temperature capability alongside in-cab temperature monitoring and printing technology. This enables real-time visibility and full compliance with food safety and transport regulations.
Enhanced Coldchain Operational Flexibility
The fleet has been engineered to maximise usability across a range of delivery scenarios.
Key features include:
Movable and stowable bulkheads for flexible compartmentalisation
Wide-aperture double rear doors for efficient loading
Integrated ladder access for ease of operation
Internal load restraint systems for secure transportation
These features allow Salisbury Poultry to adapt quickly to varying load requirements while maintaining product integrity.
Safety and Compliance
Driver and vehicle safety have been prioritised throughout the build. Each unit includes a left-turn camera system with audible warning alerts, improving visibility and reducing risk in urban environments. Additional safety features such as rear under run protection, spray suppression, and high-visibility marker lighting ensure full compliance with UK road safety standards, while Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) certification guarantees regulatory adherence.
These vehicles will play a critical role in supporting Salisbury Poultry’s growing distribution network, ensuring fresh product reaches customers safely, efficiently, and in optimal condition.
