Solomon at the TCS&D Show 2017
Solomon Commercials are excited to once again be displaying their market leading products at the TCS&D show, and look forward to welcoming you onto Stand D52 to have a chat about your temperature controlled transport requirements. For 2017, Solomon have expanded their stand size from previous shows and will be proudly displaying two products fresh from their production facilities in Lancashire.
The first of these is a 12T vehicle, on an Iveco chassis. Designed for a multi-drop and dual-temperature operation, the vehicle demonstrates Solomon’s ability to build to exact specifications, with a number of customer-specific options to enable easier and more efficient deliveries. Internally, the body features Solomon Commercials highly efficient and effective movable, stowable bulkhead. Designed to withstand daily use, the bulkhead provides an impressive seal between compartments, whilst also featuring a door for easy access between compartments without having to stow the bulkhead.
Externally the vehicle is defined by the Solomon Slipstream aerodynamic design. Strikingly different to every other refrigerated body on the road, the design optimises performance on the road, and has been independently tested to improve fuel economy by up to 10.67%.
Also on the stand will be an example of the new for 2017 3.5T lightweight spec, on a Mercedes Sprinter. Again Solomon Commercials have worked closely with the end-user for this vehicle to suit their requirements exactly. Significant design work was put into the vehicles packaging to be able to fit the multi-temperature system, whilst keeping the vehicle as small and maneuverable as possible. Featuring a multi-temperature fridge unit for frozen and chilled operation, Solomon’s lightweight technology is particularly relevant as the operation requires maximum payload whilst still providing a heavy-duty long lasting vehicle. Solomon’s aerodynamics work also plays a significant part in the design, with the vehicle featuring their registered slipstream system for 3.5t vehicles, with the fridge unit recessed into the front bulkhead and sat behind a cab deflector, reducing vehicle drag.
