The trucks were supplied by Haynes Trucks, with Kent Frozen Foods taking delivery of 18 Daily vans and 13 Eurocargos.
KFF’s Eurocargo will be fitted with the Euro VI-d-compliant 250-horsepower 6.7-litre Tector 7 engine. Solomon Commercials fitted a twin-chamber frozen and chilled box body on the 4.815m wheelbase chassis-cab with a 1.5-tonne Dhollandia tuckaway tail lift and Frigoblock fridge.
The 3.5 tonne Daily box vans are designed to cover longer distance delivery work serving customers across England, and they also have a single passenger seat, which ensures the payload is optimised. The Solomon Commercials body has a 900kg payload, ensuring the vans leave the distribution centres working at maximum capacity.
Ian Lang, Solomon Commericals’ sales manager, said,
“When working with prestigious clients such as KFF, we need to make sure their delivery vehicles are optimised for maximum capacity and payload. Working in partnership with them, we have helped build temperature-controlled vehicles that help them meet their business objectives.”
