Having acquired a significant proportion of the temperature controlled responsibilities from the former BFP, Kent Foods have recently taken delivery of a new 26t refrigerated vehicle from Solomon Commercials.

Built on a Renault D26 6×2 chassis with sleeper cab, supplied by JDS Trucks, the 9m body comprises of a full aerodynamic solution including a full front curve and rear KAMM tail. This system has been proven to dramatically improve fuel economy, over 10%, and Kent Foods are looking forward to the enhanced economies.

The vehicle also features Solomon’s, in-house designed, moving bulkhead for multi-temperature operation, full aluminium floor and a column tail-lift, and is built to Solomon’s undisputed high-standards with powder-coated deep-section cappings, woven-roving GRP skins and their unique 3-element panels.

To aid driver safety and enhance customer service, the vehicle was fitted with a camera system and temperature recorder. Refrigeration is provided by a Carrier with their Supra 1150U Mt model with full service and maintenance through JDS.

All this is provided whilst retaining a super impressive payload of over 13t.
